How might we simplify the data table experience so that the investment user can confidently track their securities?

Solution

We added a new column, logo and horizontal scroll.

Problem Statement

I am an affluent investment customer
I am trying to see how my positions are doing
To see if I’m on track with my financial goals
But the page doesn’t have the data I’m looking for
Because there’s too much clutter/not the right data on the screen
Which is frustrating and makes me look at competitors.

How might we simplify the data table experience so that the investment user can confidently track their list of securities?

Requirement 1 -
New Column

Problem - How can users access the Gain/Loss Mutual Fund?

Solution - Add another column - Mutual Fund Gain/Loss details

Requirement 2 -
Add Logos

Problem - Is the security name recognizable?
Solution - Security Names - The user needs help easily recognize the asset type with a logo.

Requirement 3 - Horizontal Scroll

Problem - How can users’ access the data with an additional column? Currently, users have six columns.
Solution - We added a horizontal scroll to let users access additional data.
